A food processing facility needed to upgrade their ammonia refrigeration system to provide system control and reduce energy costs.
As a solution to their request, MartinCSI wrote a PLC code, sequencing progression of compressors, condensers, and other various parts of the refrigeration system. This process utilized the minimum number of compressors and condensers turning off others until needed.
As a result, system control improved for the operator and energy costs reduced due to the staging in compressors and condensers.
