Mobile Advanced Laundry System
A highly technological R&D company developed a Laundry Advanced System (LADS) for military purposes. The mobile system allowed military uniforms to be washed with less water, wasting only 20 gallons of water per day, where previous and similar models would waste 20,000 gallons; however, the system was complicated and difficult for operators to learn.
MartinCSI created a training system using Wonderware. Wonderware is an HMI/SCADA program that has the ability to connect to many types of automation systems. The training system that was created monitored important components essential to the operation of the LADS, and it even had a quiz mode (see below) that helped the operators learn these components. It visually showed the system to an operator, making it easier for them to perform the tasks needed to operate the LADS.

As a result, the creation of the visual training system empowered the LADS creators to train their operators on the complex system easily. The operators could feel confident that they would not damage the LADS during operation, and that they could control the LADS efficiently.
